Junior Production Manager - Berries
Our client, a dynamic nursery business situated in Wellington (Western Cape), has the position of a Production Manager available.
The position requires excellent organizational and time management skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure with staff.
The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to):
- Production unit that includes all aspects of establishment, production, labour, warehouse and quality management.
- Management of plant material.
- Inspection and certification of plant material.
- Supporting role of nursery activities.
- Supporting role of plant improvement activities.
Essential skills, experience, and qualifications:
- A BSc Agric Degree.
- 2 – 4 years’ work experience in the Agricultural Industry (soft fruit would be an advantage).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Valid driver’s license and own transport.
The position has an excellent growth element within the business.
Market related salary on offer.
Starting date: As soon as possible.
Area: Wellington.
