A well-established kitchen furniture designer in Cape Town is urgently looking for a Junior Production manager to join their team.

Our client who is a well-established kitchen furniture designer in Cape Town is urgently looking for a Junior Production manager to join their team.

Job Description:

Lead a multi-cultural team to deliver projects on time and in full.
Provide a safe working environment in accordance with standards and maintain environmental standards
Lead effective quality audit findings close-outs
Identify and participate in areas of Continuous Improvement including production facility improvements, introduction of new products, processes and equipment, personnel development and continual quality improvement
Management of people which includes but not limited to disciplinary, grievance and absenteeism
Create and implement organisational changes on an operative level.

Provide detailed feedback regarding shipments and deliveries.

Requirements and Qualifications:

Matric plus a recognized Production Management qualification (National Diploma / Degree)
5 years’ experience in a Production Supervisory OR dispatch and logistics role within a manufacturing environment
Drivers Licence
Computer literacy in MS Office
Joinery experience beneficial
LEAN manufacturing experience beneficial
Highly adaptable, willing to provide hands on assistance in a high-pressure environment
Compassionate and stern approach to managing a culturally diverse team
Identifying problems and implement preventative strategies to minimise risk.
Being able to develop good working relationships and trust with various teams.
Strong problem-solving skills, analytic ability and be very detail oriented.
Working well with many different departments and external suppliers.
Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently
