SUMMARY:
As the Junior Plant Operator, you will be responsible to operate and maintain equipment in a coal washing plant to ensure efficient processing and production of clean coal. Monitor plant operations, troubleshoot issues, and adhere to safety and environmental regulations.

Key responsibilities:
- Operate and control equipment such as crushers, screens, cyclones, centrifuges, and conveyors to process coal through washing, separation, and dewatering stages
- Monitor plant operations using control systems and instrumentation to ensure proper functioning and optimal performance
- Adjust equipment settings and operating parameters as needed to meet production targets and quality specifications
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment to identify and address mechanical issues and minimize downtime
- Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and perform repairs or adjustments as necessary to maintain continuous operation
- Collect samples of coal products at various stages of the process for quality control testing and analysis
- Monitor and control the flow of coal and water within the plant to optimize efficiency and minimize waste
- Maintain accurate records of production data, equipment maintenance, and process parameters
- Comply with safety procedures and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and coworkers
- Follow environmental regulations and protocols to minimize the impact of plant operations on air and water quality
Minimum requirements:- Grade 12
- Basic Coal Preparation Certificate – Compulsory
- 5 years’ experience on a Coal Washing Plant
- Able to work 4x4 shift or any shift as required
- Willing to work overtime
- Good communication skills (Read and write)
- Good understanding of safety standards and procedures
