Junior Mobile Applications Developer

SUMMARY:
Our client is specialising in the field of logistics and is currently recruiting a Junior Mobile Applications Developer to join their Software Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with internal teams to develop functional mobile applications, whilst working in a fast-paced agile environment in the Eastern region of Pretoria.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements:

• Grade 12, with Diploma in IT/B.Sc. or equivalent
• Minimum of 2+ years of Android applications development
• Experience in Android Studio and SDK Tools
• Experience in publishing application to the Google Play store
• Solid understanding of the OOP design principles
• Proven working experience as a mobile developer
• Have business knowledge of mobile applications development
• Working knowledge of the general mobile landscape, architectures, trends, and emerging technologies
• Experience with Java, SQLite, Web Services & RESTful APIs
• Good comprehension of JSON and XML and familiar with development methodologies
• Must have worked with Team Foundation Server or similar ALM systems
• Must have worked in an agile, fast paced environment
• Understanding of Android''s best practices for application development
• Understanding of available framework/s for application development on Android

Duties:

• Support the entire application lifecycle
• Writing clean code that produces fully functional mobile applications.
• Identify malfunctions by writing unit and UI tests.
• Debug, optimize and troubleshoot performance.
• Improve user experience by designing interfaces.
• Work with project support teams and software developers.
• Applications and software systems monitoring.
• Present findings to project support teams and software development.
• Multitasking and working on multiple projects at the same time.
• Suggesting and researching new applications protocols and mobile products.
