SUMMARY:
A Junior Mechanical Engineer is needed to fall in the ranks as soon as possible for an Engineering Company, based in Rosslyn to assist the Engineering Manager with various projects.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements:
  • National Diploma or BTech in Mechanical Engineering
  • SolidWorks, Inventor, and Microsoft Office Computer Literacy
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in relevant field with duties including Designing, Estimating and Project support
  • Knowledge and implementation of ISO policies
  • Valid Licence, own vehicle and willingness to travel when necessary
 
Duties and responsibilities:
  • Costing of variation orders
  • Brief team on how costing was compiled with mechanical teams at the start of the project
  • Planning of materials for large scale projects
  • Compile detailed manufacturing drawings for production purposes
  • Responsible for costing, labour planning and site measurement valuations along with all relevant documentation
  • Meet with Contracts Manager or Supervisor on site for design purposes
  • Ensure drawing designs is current to the project installation and up to date
  • Compile project documentation which includes weld maps, data sheets, drawing updates, bill of materials and spare parts list scheduling and timing etc
  • Implementation of ISO policies, procedures and documentation
