Junior Marketing Assistant

POSITION INFO:

Our client is a fast growing and dynamic insurance brokerage in the Big Bay, Cape Town area.

Our client’s marketing department is looking to employ a suitable candidate in a Junior Marketing Assistant position.

They require the support of a meticulous individual who has an eye for detail, can work independently and be willing to stretch themselves and grow within their role.

The successful candidate will be supporting the Head of Marketing with all marketing related tasks and will also be joining an energetic and lively team in our Big Bay Office in Cape Town.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Administration:

• Stock / promotional reconciliations.
• Logistics at events.
• Ordering and distribution of stock.
• Converting documents for the company.
• Cover pages and PDF edits.
• Branding documents.
• Newsletter support.

2. Social Media and Website:

• Monitoring and tracking.
• Campaign support.
• Retweets and comments.
• Brand monitoring (reputation).
• SEO assistance.
• General website maintenance (experience not required).

3. Procurement:

• Quality control.
• Budget management.
• Stock allocations and reconciliations.
• Product research.

4. Advertising and Branding:

• Advertising chase list (updating current and sourcing new).
• Tracking and monitoring.
• Event management.
• Sponsorship management.
• Product launches or campaigns – tracking and monitoring.

5. Entry Level Design (not essential but advantageous):

• Forms: PDF / Formstacks / Jotform.
• Adverts: print, display and social media.

Minimal Qualifications and Experience:

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a Brokerage preferred.
• Strong, proven administration skills.
• Time management skills.
• Equine knowledge (and interest) (preferred).
• Skilled in personal approach (empathy and compassion) taken to client service delivery of processing claims.
• Knowledge / understanding of commercial objectives.
• Knowledge / skilled in effectively managing multiple requirements at the same time.

Package:

Salary offered: R8 000 – R10 000 per month.

This is full time permanent position based in the Big Bay (Bloubergstrand) area, Cape Town.

Starting date: As soon as possible.
