Junior Maintenance Technician

SUMMARY:

Be part of the Maintenance Team, servicing the portfolio of the company’s installations and associated controlled atmosphere plant and equipment. To grow into a purposeful skilled technician within a few years, trained and fully capable to service and fault-find the full suite of company equipment.

POSITION INFO:

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Maintenance of air compressors, nitrogen generators and carbon dioxide scrubbers;
• Electro-mechanical fault finding;
• Project installation of new equipment on site, including pipe-work and electro-mechanical assembly;.
• On-site client liaison and Sales: Apart from the technical servicing role the incumbent is expected to fulfil an important PR role in promoting the Service offer.

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, and Experience)

• High energy individual. Must have a very Hands-on approach
• Electrical or Mechanical diploma at least N2 level, or have plans to achieve this minimal level.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills;
• Organised, able to work independently with a very hands-on approach;
• Must have a demonstrated interest in mechanical equipment and an appetite to understand the company proprietary equipment control software (Automation);
• Comfortable to work under stress and should be willing to travel locally;
• Must be innovative and self- reliant and contribute to the effectiveness of the company;
• Compliant with company policies on Safety and behavioural standards
