SUMMARY:
KEY RETAIL (FMCG)ACCOUNT MANAGER
KZN MIDLANDS
Qualifications and Experience
 Any degree / diploma that can reflect studies supportive of Commercial activities
Working knowledge in MS Office, in particular Excel.
5 years’ experience in an FMCG sales – 2 years in Key accounts
Demonstrated Strong administration skills
Valid Code B driver’s License
Relationship Management

  • Build relationships with the retail customer’s merchandising, supply chain, logistics and store operations teams. Represent the face of the business to the retail client and attend to customer requests, suggestions, concerns, and complaints. Manage communication between the internal teams and the relevant supply chain, finance, and operation teams on the retail customer’s side.
  • Manage communication between the internal teams and the relevant buying, supply chain, finance, and operation teams on the retail customer’s side.
  • identify and pursue further distribution and volume growth opportunities
  • to act as a frontline interface to the retail customer on all pricing, supply chain and distribution matters
  • to provide support, analysis and insights regarding potential portfolio and pricing optimization, supply chain initiatives
Account Management:
  • Conduct regular client reviews, reporting on key pricing, distribution and ranging measurables and targets
  • Share regular reports with the retail customer covering key service levels, KPI’s and joint targets
  • Ensure daily operational issues are channelled through relevant departments and resolved timeously
Business Development
Leverage customer relationships to identify and motivate retail customers to expand their participation in the Company offering
  • Pragmatically grow Distribution for the Company in this channel
  • Grow product range pragmatically by account by region
  • Manage pricing execution in trade through cycle deals and deep cuts
  • Support promotional agenda by account
  • Manage admin with regard to new listings price changes
  • Demand Forecasting for sales channels
  • Manage returns to agreed levels by account
  • Support Sales lead in managing trade investment
  • Support the Warehouses with stock clearance customers and price offs.
