JOB DESCRIPTION:

A start-up Investment and Wealth Management firm based in Midrand is looking for a passionate and hardworking Junior Investment Analyst to join their investment team!

Salary: circa 240K per annum

Non-negotiable Qualification and Experience required

Honours level degree (NQF 8) with a major in Investment Management/Actuarial Science/Economics/Mathematics or Statistics/Risk Management
Experience in financial services/investment management will be advantageous, but not required
Understanding of economics, financial markets essential, and financial products such as unit trusts advantageous
Exceptional analytical and reporting skills
Strong technological skills and proficient in MS Office (especially Advanced Excel)

Responsibilities will include:

Portfolio analysis and reporting
Portfolio risk management
Portfolio management system and tools development
Quantitative and qualitative fund manager research
Quantitative modelling
Market and economic research, analysis and reporting
