SUMMARY:
Opportunity Available!! Our well known client in the Automotive sector is looking to employ a Junior Industrial Engineer to join their dynamic team in East London.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Description:

Assist with maximum department efficiencies through studies and implementation of approved findings in
work balance, time studies, ergonomics and floor layout planning.
Assist to write manufacturing procedures, documents and forms as instructed.
Assist commercial department with quoting for new business.
Assist in providing production with optimum workplace layouts which conform to the requirements.
Investigate process-related problems and recommend and implement improvements to ensure smooth operation of all processes and ensure the entrenchment of the improvements.
Conduct capacity studies for current and future planning strategies.
Manage action points, detecting and eliminating risk to the program.
Evaluate facilities and services in order to upgrade where necessary.
Assist in problem areas as required by any Department.
Identify product / process / lay-out improvements and offer alternatives to ensure efficient utilisation of tooling, manpower and maximised capacity.
Communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, customers, suppliers.
Take responsibility for own personal professional development by active involvement in both internal & external training and development initiatives.
Assist with new project trials and compile project documentation.
Conduct packaging trials and compile packaging instructions.

Job Requirements:

Industrial Engineering qualification (essential).
1 years’ experience in the Injection Moulding Industry (preferred).
Computer skills including MS Programmes (essential) and AutoCAD (preferred).
Knowledge of ISO 14001 and TS 16949 requirements (preferred).
Knowledge of MES System and SYSPRO (preferred).
Practical knowledge continuous improvement processes (essential).
Working knowledge of project planning (essential).
Ability to read, analyse and interpret blue prints, equipment manuals and technical reports.
