Provider of solutions to the renewable energy sector seeks to employ a Junior IT Support Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provider of solutions to the renewable energy sector seeks to employ a Junior IT Support Technician at their Western Cape office in Bellville.

For the position you would be required to have:

Grade 12
Preferably CompTIA A+ & N+ - need desired qualification
Working knowledge of computer/laptop hardware and troubleshooting
Working knowledge of backup solutions
Working knowledge of VOIP telephony systems (Yealink)

- 2 years or more Support experience.

- Microsoft OS Experience essential.

- Office 365 experience advantageous.

Responsibilities would include you to:

Office 365 Setup and configuration beneficial with good understanding of Microsoft products
Understanding of DNS/DHCP and Network protocols
Networking knowledge is required (Fibre Routers, Wi-Fi Access Points)
Helpdesk knowledge and experience dealing with users and understanding how to deliver clear and effective IT Support Services
Network Cabling, Wireless configuration, and management
Install, configure, monitor, and maintain Backups
Hardware troubleshooting and installation and Software Installations
Remote support and Provide 1st Line Support.
Understanding User requirements Desktop / Laptop setup.
Printing/Scanning support (IP Printing, shared network printing, local printers)
Virus and Malware detection, prevention
Update internal systems with all work carried out.
Assist in managing disaster recovery/business continuity plan to ensure timely and cost-effective recovery of computers, telephony, and network

On offer is a salary of around R15k per month
