Junior IT Software Technicians

SUMMARY:
RESPONSIBLE FOR Implementation and support of the Intouch module in Soloplan for road haulage business units

POSITION INFO:

IT Technicians required to learn new Soloplan System in Johannesburg then go and implement/install and teach users how to use the system in various countries in Southern Africa

IT qualification - preferably software (Software Development)

Must have a vaild Passport non negotiable

Must be immediately available

Own reliable transport

Have a valid drivers license

3 month contract based in Johannesburg for initial training then travel throughout Africa to implement, download and train staff on new software

Salary R20 000 per month

JOB PURPOSE

The unique opportunity to work within a dynamic team culture that is in the process of implementing a unique Transport Management Solution called CarLo and specifically focused to assist with the rollout of the Intouch module which is an interface between drivers, loaders operators and fleet controllers.

Individuals will be required to travel in Africa and mainly be based in Mozambique, eSwatini and Malawi

QUALIFICATIONS Matric

Passport, Driver’s license and own vehicle is a requirement

IT related degree/diploma would be advantageous

ALTERNATIVE PRIOR EXPERIENCE

Basic user training experience

Basic IT networking experience

Basic IT/System fault identification reporting

KEY PERFORMANCE UNITS PERFORMANCE CRITERIA

1.1 System implementation: Assist with the installation and setup of the Transport Management System mobile application at various depots across Africa. Liaise with personnel and drivers to create awareness. Providing administrative support as needed.

2.2 Training and Support: Provide end user training on the Transport Management System for users across all levels. Provide training for drivers on how to use the intouch tablets and ensure the correct behaviors are followed:

Trips are updated

Real time scanning of POD’s

Additional checklists are performed

Briefing and debriefing checklists are completed correctly

Provide end user support in the event of user issues experienced.

Master the capabilities of the system and guide users on how to most effectively use the solution.
