SUMMARY:
Our client, a dynamic Financial Services Company seeks to employ a Junior IT Project Manager based in Johannesburg North with 3 years IT/Project Management experience

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Context

To ensure all required projects and strategic initiatives within scope are planned, resources, scheduled and managed correctly to ensure that timelines are met within budget and that the projected benefits are achieved.

KEY OUTPUTS

Understand the scope of what needs to be delivered and translate these into project plans and schedules
Plan and control project schedules, with relevant stream leads, business analysts and delivery partners
Control project quality with relevant people
Allocate and control stream leads, business analysts and their deliverables. This includes the delivery partners
Control project scope with steering committee and stakeholders
Manage project risks
Manage change brought about by the project implementations
Ensure that proper governance structures are in place and followed
Manage project communication and reporting
Find ways to improve the delivery of projects and strategic initiatives

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Matric
Relevant Degree or
Project Management of BA Qualification
Life Insurance Industry experience would be beneficial
Minimum 3 years experience in a project management role
Systems Development Life cycle
Multi-Functional Stakeholder Management and engagement experience

SKILLS

Excellent communication skills
Negotiation skills
Good people skills
Great business writing and presentation skills
Knowledge of project management methodologies
Knowledge of system development life cycle methodologies.
