SUMMARY:
A chemical manufacturer based in Kempton Park is looking for a Junior Human Resources Generalist who will be responsible for completing a variety of tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department.

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications and Skills:

Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential)
Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management is very important
2-3 years’ experience as a HR Generalist
Knowledge of administrative tasks and responsibilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Advanced computer skills, including data entry, data processing, communication tools and payroll and human resources software
Problem-solving skills and resourceful thinking
Leadership and coaching skills
Strong empathy and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Attention to detail and analytically driven

Duties and responsibilities (include but is not limited to):

Human resources policies and procedures: Developing, implementing, and administering HR policies and procedures
Employee relations: Guiding management on employee relations and performance management
Recruitment: Recruiting, interviewing, and hiring qualified job applicants
Benefits and compensation: Administering benefits, compensation, and employee performance programs
Training and development: Setting up learning and development programs, and reviewing, tracking, and documenting compliance with training
Employee experience: Implementing programs to improve the employee experience
Compliance: Ensuring compliance with local and national regulations and employment laws
Reports: Providing reports requested by management, such as around absenteeism or leave
HR information systems: Using HR information systems/reports to gather people data and insights
Organizational structure: Designing organizational structures with business leaders
Employer brand: Creating an employer brand
Conflict resolution: Playing a role in conflict resolution
Labour law management, along with SEESA
Taking appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations and addressing employee grievances
BBBEE management
Payroll management
Personal Assistant to the Directors
