NOW RECRUITING - JUNIOR GROUPS COORDINATOR at Fancourt, in George (Western Cape)
POSITION INFO:
Would you like to build your career in the hotel industry? The Reservations team is now accepting applications for a Junior Groups Coordinator –someone with a passion for working with people and the drive to continuously improve.
The ideal candidate will have excellent telephonic skills, a flair for up-selling, and a keen eye for detail and be able to cope under pressure. Minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent, a knowledge of MS Office suite and at least 1 years work experience in reservations, customer sales or banqueting & events coordinating is a prerequisite. A valid driver’s license will be required. Work experience on Opera and Concept would be advantageous.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Making and processing group reservations and events by email and telephone;
- Following up on tentative bookings and all deposits which are due and ensuring that these are processed;
- Coordinate site inspections for groups travelling/requested with the various managers required (Conferences, functions);
- Coordinating pre-conference meetings to ensure correct handover to the operations team;
- Pro-actively market and introduce available packages and new services;
- Overseeing the entire event planning and handling any day to day queries and complaints;
- ·Promote all activities available on the Resort.
