An energy services company seeks a Junior Financial Controller to join their finance team based in Durban West.

In this role, you will be responsible for the full financial function to balance sheet. You will act as a right hand to the Senior Financial Controller, working alongside a knowledgeable finance team on a portfolio of clients.

Duties include, but not limited to:

Daily processing of accounting transactions for multiple entities

Preparation, reconciliation, and review of General Ledger accounts

Liaising with clients, following up on queries and maintaining good client relationships

Onboarding of new clients

Submitting all information to the Senior Financial Controller for the preparation of reports

Assisting Senior Financial Controller with collection of information for preparation of management accounts

Accurate financial recording

Accurate preparation of administrative documents and reports

All other related administrative and Back Office functions

Maintaining mailbox daily

Adhering to processes such as completing relevant checklists, updating work status trackers, master client information database, etc.

Education:

Certificate or Diploma in Finance / Accounting

Skills & Experience:

1 to 2 years'' experience in a full finance function role up to balance sheet

Cloud-based accounting software knowledge is essential

Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel

Financial acumen

Strong personality

Ability to work in a highly pressured and fast paced environment

Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
