SUMMARY:
A young dynamic company in the FMCG environment has an opportunity for a Junior Financial Administrator to support their Finance administration team located at the Head Office in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.

JOB DESCRIPTION:


Duties (Key Areas of Responsibility)
  • Stock/Inventory Import/Export Administration
  • Foreign currency processing
  • Local currency processing
  • Assist with Stock Management
  • Inventory Control
  • Accounting
  • Creditors control
  • Maintain suppliers/account data in terms of standard operating procedures
  • Chase overdue invoices by telephone, emails, or letters within the agreed timeframe
  • Escalate the overdue balances as per the credit policy
  • Maintain accurate record of interactions made with creditors (and internal stakeholders)
  • Regular contact with suppliers to ensure all debts are managed as necessary
  • Assist with stock takes
Minimum Requirements
  • Creditors Handling
  • Post matric accounting diploma/certificate beneficial
  • Pastel Proficient in the above as well as manufacturing processing
  • Accounting/Bookkeeping experience
  • Advanced Excel
Skills and expertise
  • Must be computer literate, have been exposed to a manufacturing ERP system and experience with Pastel accounting packages.
  • Excellent communication and good problem-solving skills.
  • Must have good attention to detail and high level of accuracy and precision
  • Assertive, confident, and enthusiastic as well as a self-motivator
  • Ability to show initiative and work under pressure
  • Be deadline driven
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong number skills
