Junior Financial Accountant - FMCG/Manufacturing

Our client, a fast paced manufacturing company, seeks to employ a Junior Financial Accountant, to join their financial team and add value to the group.

Please note that this is a junior accountant role, therefore our client will not consider candidates with more than 3 years experience in the manufacturing or FMCG sector.

You must be able to work independently and accurately keep records and be proactive in your approach to ensuring the profitability of the company.

KEY REQUIREMENTS TO MEET FOR CONSIDERATION

• You will have completed a degree in Finance (preferably a BComm) coupled with 3 years experience in general accounting functions, within the manufacturing and/or FMCG sector.
• You will have proven experience in processing technical financial adjustments for reporting, to ensure the company is in line with IFRS, such as accruals, provisions, depreciation and foreign exchange adjustments, as well as reviewing and approving journals and other information captured by financial administrators.
• You will have experience in preparing management accounts, investigating variances and ensure recons and financial records are accurate and correct for review by the financial manager.
• You will be competent to assist in year end audits and ad hoc reporting required by the management team
• You will have advanced Excel skills
• You must have a valid driver’s licence, own car and a clear criminal and credit record
