A reputable and household retailer is looking for a Junior Financial Accountant to join their finance team.

JOB & COMPANY DESCRIPTION

The Junior Financial Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the general ledger, performing monthly reconciliations, and preparing or processing journal entries. The Junior Financial Accountant will be responsible for assisting with the annual budgeting process, reviewing the debtors and creditors ledgers as well as preparing the daily, weekly, monthly financial reports.

EDUCATION

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

• BCom Honors in Accounting
• SAICA/SAIPA articles completed

JOB EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED

• At least 1-2 years’ post article experience
• Experience in the retail industry would be advantageous
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Confident and assertive
• Strong business acumen
