Junior Financial Accountant

SUMMARY:
Large manufacturing concern, based in Springs, has an exciting opportunity for a Junior Financial Accountant to ensure accurate recording of financial transactions and reports. Perform duties to ensure compliance with Financial Administration, GAAP, Legislative Compliance, Company policies and procedures etc.

POSITION INFO:

Report directly to the Financial Manager.  Completed B.Com Accounting / Financial Degree, as well as completed SAICA Articles essential.  Key Responsibilities include: receiving and capturing journals in the ERP system; monthly reconciliation and administration of the GL accounts for Central Finance; monthly reconciliation of selected creditors accounts and debtors accounts; rebilling of costs across legal entities; maintenance and reconciliation of Municipal accounts; assist with budgets and outlooks; manage expenses in line with budgets; review cashbook input on a monthly basis; attend to audit queries as and when required; and perform ad hoc duties as and when required within reasonable job scope.  Sound VAT rules; experience on JDE highly advantageous.  Drivers license and own reliable transport essential.
