SUMMARY:
Junior Financial Accountant – Cape Town

Are you numbers-driven with a keen eye for detail? Our client in the production industry is looking for a Junior Financial Accountant to join their Cape Town branch and support the Financial Manager in keeping the books balanced, the reports sharp, and the processes smooth.

POSITION INFO:
What you’ll do:

Process month-end journals, reconciliations, and creditor payments
Maintain accurate general ledger accounts and ensure proper transaction capture
Manage the full asset register – from acquisitions and disposals to depreciation and reconciliations
Ensure compliance with IAS16 and SARS requirements for fixed assets
Handle daily sales reporting, tracking production output by customer
Reconcile inventory and manage rental garment and stationery stock
Support cost control initiatives to reduce overtime, reworks, and production waste
Prepare financial reports, templates, and forecasts for management
Assist with occupational health and safety compliance and reporting

What you’ll bring:

Grade 12 / NQF Level 4 and an Accounting Diploma/Degree
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a service-related or production environment (preferably supervisory)
Strong communication skills (verbal & written) in English
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and financial software systems
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under pressure
