A mining company in Centurion is seeking the services of a junior electrical engineer

POSITION INFO:
We are looking for a motivated Junior Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team. As a Junior Electrical Engineer, you will work alongside experienced engineers to design, develop, and maintain electrical systems and equipment for various projects. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with some experience in electrical engineering to grow their skills and advance their careers in a supportive and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems and components.
Perform electrical calculations, simulations, and analysis for various systems and equipment.
Create and review electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
Support senior engineers in troubleshooting, testing, and debugging electrical systems and equipment.
Assist in the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems.
Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
Collaborate with other engineering disciplines, project managers, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
Provide technical support during the testing and commissioning phases of projects.
Participate in site visits and inspections to monitor system performance and quality.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Familiarity with electrical design software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, ETAP, or similar tools).
Basic knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and components.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Ability to follow technical specifications, industry standards, and safety procedures.
Good communication skills and attention to detail.
A proactive and eager-to-learn attitude, with a passion for electrical engineering.
