Position Overview:
A high-ranking financial services institution is seeking to appoint a Junior Economist in their Economic Research Department.
The Junior Economist’s main responsibilities are to conduct economic research and analysis to support policy formulation and an understanding of economic developments within the financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist more senior economists by conducting research and analysis of domestic and global economic trends as well as important policy issues.
- Assist with the preparation of presentations.
- Assist with the generation of economic forecasts.
- Coordinate and respond to general economic or statistical queries.
To be considered for this position, candidates must have:
- A completed Honours degree in Economics, with a pass mark of over 70%.
- 1-2 Years’ experience in conducting macro-economic research and analysis
