Junior Draughtsperson

A vacancy for a “draughtsperson” exists with one of our clients. The role of this Draughtsperson is primarily to support the Planning Team with CAD Drawings and approve the wayleaves from the Fibre Planner. 

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric
• Draughting Diploma would be beneficial
• AUTO CAD experience 2yrs+
• Optic Fibre experience will be advantageous
• Computer Literacy must have knowledge of a number of software packages
• Drivers Licence + Own Transport
• Knowledge and understanding of Town Planning methods and processes

Duties:

• Creating construction plans for fibre network builds in AutoCAD
• BOQ preparation for project materials.
• Recording the construction plan in chosen software.
• Adjusting the plans according to built documentation received from the operational teams.
• Splicing plan must be prepared for project management and deployment.
• Preparation for the FTTH allocation system for the branch management of fibre allocations.
• Travel will be required between different sites.
• Draught plans under the guidance of the initial survey and route plan guidelines.
• Interact with the Project Manager to ensure plan draughts align with the actual site conditions and make modifications to suit.

Hours:  Monday – Friday 08h00 – 17h00

Salary: R12 000 to R15 000 per month dependent on experience.
