SUMMARY:
Do you have two years experience as a draughtsman with experience in TurboCAD/AutoCAD?
Our client would like develop and mould your skills for a long-term career within their well- established and growing organisation.

Based in Airport Industria they require your Matric with Mathematics plus a Technical qualification relevant to this field.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

REQUIREMENTS

Matric with Mathematics, plus relevant Technical qualification’
Own transport preferable
Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
Deadline and goal driven with ability to work unsupervised
Strong communication skills and a good team player
Must demonstrate skills in TurboCAD/AutoCAD and MSOffice

DUTIES

Responsible for all drawing requirements in the Drafting Division
Prepare estimates, bills of materials, construction drawings and other engineering documents
Work alongside the Design Team and the Project Managers to plan taking full responsibility for all technical drawing requirements of the company
Manage first design drawings with guidance from designers based on customer requests
Planning and co-ordination of construction drawings as needed during the design and construction preparation phase of projects
Ensure follow ups are completed where changes are made or input is required from the design team for preparation of the construction drawings
Planning and co-ordination of As-built Drawings as needed for projects
Prepare Bills of Materials from the drafting package into an MS Excel Spreadsheet and/or Project Materials lists
Alongside the designers/engineers develop drawings, calculations and equipment applications - review and interpret engineer specifications
Prepare 2D and 3D drawings for conceptual presentation, contract requirements or floor plan layouts
Quality Control – ensure drawings are presented in a professional and detailed manner
Project liaison giving accurate and complete feedback on a continuous basis to the Designers, Engineers, Project Managers and technicians regarding progress, changes or completion of drawings
Responsible for the management of folders of drawings on the server
Responsible for ensuring that drawings/plans for the servicing division agrees with the information on the service report and manage any discrepancies
Ensure all drawings are converted into a readable format (e.g. PDF) for clients

Salary: R12000 – R17000, including Provident Fund, dependent on experience
