SUMMARY:
Our client in the manufacturing industry has a vacancy for a Junior Draughtsman to join their team.
The ideal candidate will have experience in drawing and designing, preferably in the sheet metal fabrication industry. This position is based in the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Responsibilities:

Design and detailed drawings in 2D and 3D of:
Products and sub-assemblies, flat stages, and components
Manufacturing assembly and welding jigs
Production gauges and other inspection aides
Press tooling
Checking to confirm the design meets the required standards and if not to redesign
Maintain all drawing folders

Requirements:

Technical draughting qualification or diploma
2 years’ work experience
Experience in sheet metal fabrication (preferred)
Inventor/solid works (Advantageous)
Punching programs for CNC punching machine (Advantageous)
Fluent in English (written and verbal)
Positive attitude
Problem solver
Good communicator
Hard working
Own transport
