DevOps Engineer (or someone looking to move into DevOps) required for a company in Aberdeen.
An up-and-coming software company with impressive new products to run and operate industrial assets from anywhere in the world are looking for a DevOps Engineer with a couple of years'' experience in the technology industry (not necessarily in a DevOps role!).
The company are based in Aberdeen and have a flexible working from home pattern; however, you will be needed in the office at least twice a week.
As a growing company, they are looking for motivated individuals who are passionate, and willing to step out of their comfort zone and/or are trying to make the move over to DevOps. You could currently be a Developer, Software Tester or have more experience on the network/support side of things.
You will be joining a growing software team, with several senior DevOps Engineer''s who are able to guide you and help with your professional development - it''s a really rare opportunity to move into DevOps/Cloud without a huge amount of previous experience! However, ideally you will have prior experience of CI/CD pipelines, and have delved into infrastructure as code and the associated tools - whether in a commercial position, or in your own time.
It would be beneficial, but not a necessity to have experience working with databases (querying, writing scripts, backups), and cloud experience. This company work with Azure, however, should you have cloud experience with AWS please do still apply.
Desirable skills: -
**Strong experience in a technical position
**Some exposure to DevOps (e.g. Terraform)
**Some experience with a cloud platform
**CI/CD pipelines
**Automation testing
**Able to demonstrate a passion for DevOps/Cloud roles
This company are a fast-growing, ambitious organisation, with significant investment behind them.
