SUMMARY:
Assist the Senior Cost Accountant in carrying out the costing section activities in the Finance Department

POSITION INFO:

Due to our client equity plan, preference will be given to African Males and Females.

Qualifications & Knowledge:

Matric
BCom Financial Management/Cost Accounting
1 to 2 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment.
1 years’ experience working on an ERP system.
Advance computer literacy and competency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with Syspro will be an advantage

Main Responsibilities of the Job

Update contract pricing as and when required.
Analyse the products and customer profitability and identify loss making products.
Reconcile material from Extrusion to Finished Goods and report waste to the GM.
Work closely with the Sales Manager/Marketing Manager on an annual sales budget and on any other queries related to sales and costing.
Work closely with operational employees to gain information on query variances identified
Co-ordinate and assist external auditors of the company with statutory and special audits.
Perform and ensure that cyclical stocktakes are executed correctly.
Record cyclical stocktakes/stock counts.
Account for stock adjustments or expense issues on ERP system.
Create stock codes on the ERP system.
Prepare monthly report of material consumption and wastage.
Perform monthly price and volume analysis of sales.
Compile cyclical reports and presentations.
Maintain and update all relevant documents and reports.
