We are looking for a Junior Cost Accountant to support our financial and operational teams with costing, reporting, and day-to-day finance functions. The Junior Cost Accountant will report directly to the Finance Director of the company.

Duties and responsibilities will include:

Assist with accurate pre-season standard cost calculations and costing system maintenance
Perform weekly and monthly actual cost analysis and reporting
Compile producer prices, royalty reports, and dynamic reporting for stakeholders
Maintain cost accounting data on DiPAR and other internal platforms
Assist with the cashflow management
Assist with Forex matters (calculations, communication with bank etc.)
Assist with bank administration

Requirements:

BCom degree in Management Accounting or Financial Management
Completed articles / professional registration will be advantageous
Previous relevant experience will be advantageous
Professional knowledge of management accounting and costings
Computer literacy (MS Office; Sage)
Analytical aptitude (logical interpretation of data and systematic problem solving)
Attention to detail
Very good language skills (English and Afrikaans)
Adaptability and ability to manage change
