Junior Chemicals Salesperson

SUMMARY:
Our client in the International Investment and Trading Industry has an opportunity available for a Junior Chemicals Salesperson to be based in the Sandton area.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Matric / GR 12
• Any tertiary education is an advantage
• A minimum of 2 years sales experience in Chemical sector is an absolute requirement, and any knowledge in one or more of these industries is suitable:
  • Industrial Chemicals
  • Mining Chemicals
  • Textile Chemicals
  • Construction Chemicals
  • Water Treatment Chemicals
  • Pharma Chemicals
  • Food Ingredient Chemicals
  • Detergent Chemicals
  • Cosmetics Chemicals
  • Plastic Additives / Masterbatch
• Fluent in English
• Excellent command of MS Office applications
• Knowledge of logistics and operations
• Knowledge to selling across the African Continent
• An understanding of import/export principles

KPAs:

• Monitors distributors, customers, demands, orders
• Organizes and follows sales activities
• Effectively manages business activities with customers (establishing relationships, strengthening existing relationships, relationship continuity)
• Prepares price proposals
• Effectively negotiates commercial terms with customers
• Identifies potential markets and potential customers in the region
• Follow up on payments and pre-payments for orders
