SUMMARY:
Our client based in Pretoria East within the Outdoor Retail and ammunition industry is seeking a passionate, dynamic and driven junior Buyer. This Individual will be assisting the Buyer to manage turnover, inventory and Gross Profit in their respective areas using Analytics, Data and Procurement Management. Afrikaans environment, all communication (meetings, emails) will be in Afrikaans. The successful candidate must be fluent in Afrikaans.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Minimum requirements:

Relevant Bachelor's degree (Logistics, Retail/Business, consumer science)
Clothing/Guns and Ammunition knowledge will be an advantage.
1-2 years’ experience will be an advantage.
Computer literate
Logical, analytical and numerate.
Effective Negotiator.
Multi-tasking.
Communicate effectively.
Presentation skills.
Work effectively as a team member.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

Follow up on outstanding purchase orders and short delivered stock.

Assisting Buyer and Product Developer with everyday administrative tasks.
Placing purchase orders with local suppliers
Order and sample tracking and ensuring on time supplier shipment
Amend purchase orders for a supplier if the incorrect price is on.

Amend purchase orders for the store if they cannot GRV because of the Invoice Reinstate Cancelled PO'S.
View Report daily and reinstate cancelled PO’s.
Place orders according to the Buyer/Planner.
Assist the Buyer where needed.
Supplier maintenance and liaison.
Loading of Supplier References.
Monitor the references and adjust where needed.
Launch of new Product
Create New Codes – Create new codes according to the Buyer.
Move Previous range codes to Non-Reg – All discontinued range codes must be moved into non-reg as per instruction of the Buyer.
