POSITION INFO:

Our client in the distribution and manufacturing industry is currently looking to employ a Junior Branch Manager.

The position will be based in Gqeberha.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Matric, however, a degree or diploma in commerce or interior design will take preference.
  • 3-5 years proven track record on management level.
  • Proven track record in sales.
  • Own transport and a valid driver’s license essential.
  • Industry knowledge.

Responsibilities:

Sales:

  • Maintain and grow relationships with corporate customers, Designers and Architects.
  • Ensure personal involvement in projects.
  • Ensure showroom standards that reflect the image of the company and the product line up
  • Performance management of sales consultants
  • Take corrective action on any underperforming sales consultants

Financial:

  • Asset Management of the branch – fixed assets, debtors, stock.
  • Effectively manage the branch expenses through cost effective measures.

Operational:

  • Smooth and cost-effective logistics.
  • Establish realistic administrative processes to ensure operational efficiency and effective time
    management.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and specifically top end delivery and installations.
  • Health and safety officer and compliance to relevant legislation

Staff:

  • Monitor and motivate staff performance on a regular basis to identify specific performance areas needing attention (in all departments)
  • Manage staff retention and ensure succession planning.
  • Ensure that the company’s disciplinary code is followed. Enforcement of discipline in terms of the Labour Act.

General:

  • Drive company strategy and company core values.
  • Meet or exceed targets set for the branch.
  • Manage the risk of the branch
