A well-established, boutique law firm is seeking a driven and capable Junior Attorney to join its Litigation Department. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic legal professional who is passionate about family law and general litigation, and who is eager to grow their career in a supportive yet fast-paced environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Handle a broad range of litigation matters, with a primary focus on divorces, court applications, and court appearances.
Engage directly with clients and opposing attorneys in a professional and solution-driven manner.
Draft legal documents and pleadings and manage matters through all stages of litigation.
Prepare and present matters using CaseLines/CourtOnline.
Play a key role in developing and managing the litigation department, contributing to its long-term growth and efficiency.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:

Be a proactive self-starter, able to take ownership of matters and work independently with minimal supervision.
Have a strong interest in litigation, particularly family law.
Be confident in court and capable of representing clients effectively.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Admitted Attorney with approximately 2 years of post-admission experience, preferably in litigation.
Sound knowledge of court rules and procedures.
Proficient in CaseLines and/or CourtOnline systems.
Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English, with excellent communication and drafting skills in both languages.
Own transport and valid driver''s license.
Professional, detail-oriented, and client-focused.
