Junior Agricultural Salesperson

SUMMARY:
Our client in the International Investment and Trading Industry has an opportunity available for a Junior Agricultural Salesperson to be based in the Sandton area.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Matric / GR 12
• Any tertiary education is an advantage
• A minimum of 2 years sales experience in the Agri sector is an absolute requirement, and any knowledge in one or more of these product lines is suitable:
  • Agri Chemicals – Herbicides, Insecticides, Pesticides, Fungicides
  • Fertigation
  • Seeds
  • Soil Minerals
  • Plant Nutrition etc.
• Fluent in English
• Excellent command of MS Office applications
• Knowledge of logistics and operations
• Knowledge to selling across the African Continent
• An understanding of import/export principles

• Monitors distributors, customers, demands, orders
• Organizes and follows sales activities
• Effectively manages business activities with customers (establishing relationships, strengthening existing relationships, relationship continuity)
• Prepares price proposals
• Effectively negotiates commercial terms with customers
• Identifies potential markets and potential customers in the region
• Follow up on payments and pre-payments for orders
