International trading company based in Durban is looking for a junior trader to join their team.
The suitable candidates will have one to three years agri trading experience and he/she must have the following :
-A good understanding of international import export business( agri commodity trading )
-Clear understanding of trading terms i. e FOB, CNF, FEC, Reuters.
-Pleasant personality with a flair for customer relationships.
-Understanding of risk management.
-Willingness to travel into Africa is essential

In addition to trading duties the role will entail
- Preparation of market reports and other internal reports
The client is looking for marketing type entrepreneurial candidates with analytical minds who have a strong PNL focus
Position requires a candidate who is highly motivated, numerate and a lateral thinker who had a strong work ethic, the ability to think on his/her feet and learn quickly and have a passion for trading and deal making
The focus of this trading role is not on traditional maize and wheat trading but rather all edible oils but the candidate does not have to have this particular product knowledge as long as he/she has experience in trading Agri products
A degree in either Agri or International trade or Logistics is a strong advantage
Afrikaans /English bilingualism is a strong plus as well
