JOB DESCRIPTION:

A new vacancy has opened within the business for a dynamic individual qualified in the field of Actuarial Science. This role offers tremendous opportunity for growth and development, with ongoing support and encouragement to further studies. The below summarises some of the responsibilities of this role:

Personal lines and commercial lines pricing
Implementation and testing of rating models
Portfolio analysis for various purposes
Reinsurance and SAM Exposure monitoring
Build and maintain dashboards to monitor experience and enable pro-active risk management

Minimum Requirements:

Must hold an Actuarial Degree from an accredited South African University with a good academic record, marked by strong analytical/ mathematical skills
Must be making solid progress through professional exams, with at least 4 CTs (A100s & A200s) already completed
A minimum of 2 years of work experience is required within the Short-Term Insurance Industry. Experience in other fields is acceptable, however, experience in Short Term Insurance will be preferred.
Must be versatile and open to learning opportunities.
Must be fully computer literate and have advanced Microsoft Excel skills
SQL proficiency will be an advantage
