Junior Accounts and Payroll Clerk

SUMMARY:
Accounts and Payroll Clerk, preferably with a relevant accounting qualification and minimum 1-2 years’ accounting/bookkeeping experience, required for a maternity fill-in contract with a reputable Accounting & Auditing Firm, based in Cape Town City Bowl.

POSITION INFO:

Accounts and Payroll Clerk, preferably with a relevant accounting qualification and minimum 1-2 years’ accounting/bookkeeping experience, required for a maternity fill-in contract with a reputable Accounting & Auditing Firm, based in Cape Town City Bowl.

Minimum requirements:

• Matric with Accounting as a subject
• Tertiary Accounting/Financial/Bookkeeping qualification preferred
• Minimum 1-2 years’ accounting/bookkeeping experience required

Responsibilities:

• Accounts – monthly processing of journals, cashbook and invoices
• Balance sheet recons
• Obtain valid BEE certificates from suppliers
• Client payrolls – capturing, adding and terminating employees, EMP201 capturing, U-filing submission and payments, WCA return submission, leave administration, etc
• Company payroll – processing, amending and deleting leave on Sage
• General office duties
• Ad hoc queries
• Reception relief
