Junior Accounts & Payroll Clerk (Fixed Term Contract)

SUMMARY:
This independent Auditing, Accounting and Advisory firm has a Fixed Term Contract available for a Junior Accounts & Payroll Clerk. Available Immediately until the end of September 2021.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements:

• Matric certificate with Accounting as subject
• Tertiary qualification in accounting / bookkeeping will be advantageous
•   1 – 2 years’ experience in a similar position
• Strong numerical ability, administrative skills, and attention to detail
• Excellent MS Office skills with particular emphasis on MS Excel
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and in a pressurised environment
• Available ASAP 

Main duties and responsibilities:

Accounts

• Monthly Processing (journals, cashbooks, Supplier invoices)
• Balance sheet recons
• Obtain Valid BEE certificates from suppliers

Client Payrolls

• Capturing payroll data as received by clients on Simplepay
• Adding and terminating employees on Simplepay
• Capturing EMP201 returns and setting up payments on SARS
• Capturing U-Filing Submissions and setting up payments
• Submission of WCA returns and downloading LOGS (Letter of Good Standing)
• Processing, amending, and deleting leave on Simplepay
• Filling out forms relating to Payroll
• Processing of client fees, disbursements, and write-offs
• Assisting with any payroll related queries

Company Employee Payrolls

• Processing, amending, and deleting leave on Sage

General

• Assist with general office duties 
• Attend to ad hoc queries
• Form part of the switchboard relieve team
• This position will report to the Financial Manager.

Remuneration:

• Monthly Cost to Company
• Fixed Term Contract
