Junior Accounting Clerk

SUMMARY:
The Junior Accounting Clerk will perform routine clerical, filing, and data entry tasks for accounting data including accounts payable, billing, and receivables.

POSITION INFO:

Responsibilities:

• Conducts routine data entry management for accounting records including accounts payable, billing, and accounts receivable.
• Reviews billing statements, invoices, and similar documents for accuracy; alerts supervisory staff of any discrepancies.
• Distributes accounting reports as directed.
• May assist with mail distribution, answering telephones, and other clerical tasks as needed.
• Preparation and distribution of debtor’s statements.
• Preparation of monthly standard invoices.
• Monthly bank/petty cash/debtors/creditors.
• Navision processing (debtors, creditors, journals, etc.).
• Admin duties handling/assisting with queries.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate.
• Tertiary Qualification will be beneficial.
• 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
• Computer literate (Excel, Microsoft Office and Outlook).
• Strong administrative abilities and time management skills.
• Presentable and neat appearance.
• Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
• Ability to contribute positively as part of a team, helping with various tasks as required.
