Junior Accountant (SAICA/SAIPA)

SUMMARY:
Our client is currently recruiting for a driven and dynamic Junior Accountant to join their Accounting and Auditing firm that is based in Pretoria East.

POSITION INFO:

Minimum Requirements:

• Relevant Accounting degree.
• Completed SAICA or SAIPA Articles.
• 1+ years’ experience in a similar role.
• Experience working on Pastel, Sage and CaseWare.

Bookkeeping Responsibilities:

• Performing Accounting duties for clients from different industries.
• Completion of Tax Returns, including Personal Income Tax, Corporate Income Tax, Provisional Tax, Dividend Tax and Vat on SARS e-Filing.
• Preparing asset, liability, capital, revenue, and expense account entries.
• Process monthly salaries for companies on Pastel Payroll.
• Analysing and reconciling General Ledger accounts and making necessary adjusting entries.
• Compiling of monthly reports.
• Compiling of working papers.
• Liaison with SARS and handling all SARS queries.
• Compiling of Financial Statements on CaseWare.
• General administration duties.
