JOB DESCRIPTION:

IGrow Wealth Investments, South Africa's #1 Property Investment company, is looking for a Junior Accountant to join their team in Cape Town.

 

To qualify for this position, you need:

  • Matric Certificate
  • BCom Accounting degree or similar; or studying towards a BCom qualification.
  • 2+ years of bookkeeping experience.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and have excellent relational skills.
  • Ability to perform calculations and prepare detailed reports.
  • Computer skills, including the ability to operate computerized accounting, spreadsheets and word-processing programs.
  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle available during working hours.
  • Knowledge on Xero and Caseware is beneficial.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Xero processing of all transactions
    (bills / invoices / journals etc)
  • Assist with applicable income and
    balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Assist with preparation of VAT returns
  • Assist with submission of bond
    progress payment draw requests to all 4
    major banks
  • Capture all payments on banking
    profile (FNB)
  • Debtors and Creditors Control.
  • Assist with bank reconciliations
  • Assist with payroll
  • Assist with annual income tax and
    provisional tax calculations and returns.
  • Preparing audit files for annual audits.
  • Assisting external auditors with the
    annual audit.
  • General accounting admin.
  • Ensuring all source documents are
    safely stored and kept.
