SUMMARY:
An International Manufacturing Company focussing on the industrial applications of biotechnology requires the above to be responsible for the full accounting function, processing of financial records and transactions and finance reporting.

JOB DESCRIPTION:


Minimum requirements for the role:
  • BComm in Accounting or someone who is completing their degree will be considered for the role.
  • The Company is also happy to consider a Junior Accountant/Bookkeeper with 2 years’ experience for the role.
  • Previous experience in a bookkeeping or accounting or related role is preferred but not essential.
  • The Company is happy to consider employing someone who has completed their articles for this role.
  • The successful candidate must be computer literate with basic Excel experience.
  • Previous experience having worked on Sage and/or Xero is preferred but not essential as the Company is happy to provide training.
  • Previous experience having worked with stock is preferred for the role.
  • Must have attention to detail and be well organised.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
  • Providing accurate and timely Company records by managing the accounting function.
  • Capturing activities on financial system such as customer invoices, supplier invoices, credit notes, debit notes etc.
  • Reconciling the cashbooks daily.
  • Preparing the wages and reporting on the wages.
  • Ensuring payment is received from customers and other debtors.
  • Monitoring internal controls and presenting the monthly financial results.
  • Analysing financial data.
  • Streamlining accounting functions and operations.
  • Participating in budgeting processes.
  • Coordinating and working closely with External Outsourced Tax Accountants.
Salary package, including benefits, is highly negotiable depending on experience gained.
