JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client, a leading fresh produce supply chain platform, has a position available for a Junior Accountant. A matric certificate is a requirement and a certificate or diploma in accounting would be beneficial.

Sage Payroll, Sage Pastel Accounting, advanced Excel skills and exposure to account consolidation would be advantageous.

The successful candidate will be a detail oriented, and deadline driven individual that takes initiative and can manage themselves. Accuracy is of the utmost importance.

Duties include but are not limited to executing day to day processing and month end procedures such as:

Accounting duties (Pastel)

Capturing bank statements
Bank reconciliations
Capturing of invoices
Supplier and Customer reconciliations and matching of payments
Customer receipt allocation
Customer Ageing follow ups
Issuing PO's and Following up on Tax Invoices
Consolidation of intercompany accounts

Payroll duties

Capturing
Administration
Employee Information Maintenance

Accounting Duties

Managing the fixed asset register
Inventory reconciliation
Processing journals
Updating cashflow
Timeous capturing of payments
Daily bank balance reporting
