A diverse company in the oil and petroleum, as well as retail sector seeks a Junior Accountant to join their dynamic finance team based in Johannesburg West.

A diverse company in the oil and petroleum, as well as retail sector seeks a Junior Accountant to join their dynamic  finance team based in Johannesburg West.

In this role you will be responsible for the full finance function of 15 sites across the country.

Duties will include but not limited to:

Process and review journals daily

Analyze and review accuracy of data and postings

Analyze, interpret and process stock performance records

Track and record all method of payments

Accurate and timeous audits

Monitor and report discrepancies

Conduct internal revenue and expense reviews

Record estimated expense provisions

Accurately process revenue and expense accruals in management accounts

Balance Sheet journals

Account reconciliations, investigate balances

Control Debtors and Creditors age analysis

Education:

BCom degree in finance or accounting

Skills & Experience:

2 to 3 years'' experience in a bookkeeping to balance sheet or junior accountant role dealing with the full finance function for various entities / subsidiaries

Pastel Evolution experience will be highly beneficial

Eagerness to learn and grow

Short initial ramp up period

Strong personality

Ability to work in a highly pressured and fast paced environment

Team player

Someone who are prepared to work extended hours when need be
