Junior Accountant

SUMMARY:
Our client - a busy and established retail filling station - is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join its finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to grow their career within a fast-paced retail environment.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1–3 years’ accounting or finance experience
• Previous retail or filling station experience will be advantageous
• Knowledge of:
  • VAT
  • Reconciliations
  • Cashbook processing
• Proficient in:
  • Microsoft Excel
  • Accounting systems : Sage etc

• Perform bank, creditor, and debtor reconciliations
• Process journals and financial transactions
• Assist with month-end reporting
• Support VAT and statutory compliance processes
• Monitor stock and cash controls
• Assist with audit preparation and supporting documentation
