SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:
The Junior Accountant needs to have 3–5 years of experience in accounting, possess a strong personality (particularly for effective debt collection), and be able to adaptable and fit into the collaborative company culture.

Duties & Responsibilities

Preparation of management reports monthly
Preparing Invoices and submitting to customers timeously for payment as well as following up on payments
Accounts payable and accounts receivable
Assist and manage liaisons for annual audits
Balance sheet reconciliations
Treasury management - daily, weekly, and monthly cash flow planning
Maintain transactions from operational system to finance system
Mitigate any corrections after deadlines
Forecasting/ budgeting preparation of schedules
Accuracy and attention to detail are essential

Desired Experience & Qualification

Matric (NQF 4)
Accounting articles with SAIPA/ SAICA would be an advantage
Relevant undergraduate qualification would be an advantage
Certificate in Bookkeeping/ Accounting is essential
Bookkeeping up to trial balance
Experience with both local & foreign currencies & cash books (USD & ZMW)
Verbal/ written communication skills
Detail orientated & organised
Adept in prioritising & multitasking with tight deadlines
Code B drivers & own transport (an inherent requirement of the role)

The proposed salary for the role is R35k - R40k per month. An offer will be market related salary considering the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.
