POSITION INFO:
Job Title: Jnr Production Engineer / Coordinator

Non- negotiable qualifications and experience required:

• BEng or BSc in Mechanical Engineering
• Matric average of 80% – 84%
• Proficient in design software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar
• Valid Code B driver’s license
• Understanding of mechanical fault diagnosis and root cause analysis

• Hands-on exposure to floor production environments with the ability to identify and troubleshoot mechanical faults
• Knowledge of CNC machine operation and basic programming
• Familiarity with mechanical assembly, particularly in weapon systems or related industries
• Experience with quality control (QC) processes, standards, and inspections
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Solid understanding of mechanical systems, thermodynamics, materials, and manufacturing processes
• Strong organisational skills and previous experience in a coordinating or supervisory role

• Assist in the design, development, and testing of mechanical components and systems
• Create, revise, and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation
• Coordinate and oversee daily floor production operations to meet project timelines and output targets
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults in equipment and production lines
• Support and supervise mechanical assembly and QC teams, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
• Collaborate with suppliers, internal departments, and external stakeholders on technical and project-related matters
• Contribute to project planning, cost estimation, procurement processes, and implementation
• Ensure compliance with engineering best practices, safety regulations, and continuous improvement initiatives
