SUMMARY:

Junior Mechanical engineer required to work in the automotive design field at on international Projects in the Vehicle Automotive field- Military applications. Permanent position at company with a variety of design and manufacturing Projects in the UAE and in Europe Exciting career prospects.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Position: Junior Mechanical Design Engineer - Military Vehicles
Location: Pretoria

Junior Mechanical engineer with passion for automotive design required to join exciting new company with international Projects.

Will be responsible to work on all product stages from research and development to design and manufacture, through to installation and final commissioning. The goal is to design and assist in fabrication of mechanical components of innovation and excellence.

Qualification:

Graduate Degree in Mechanical/ Design Engineering, or
N-Dip in Mechanical/ Design Engineering, or
B-Tech Degree in Mechanical/ Design Engineering
2-3 years experience in designs.

Responsibilities:

Conceptual design, calculations and layouts of new designs
Evaluate FEA simulations
Design sub-assemblies and assemblies
Prepare detail layout and manufacturing drawings or PMI (Product and Manufacturing Information) of components and assemblies
Ensure correct drawing standards are used on drawings done under supervision by draftsman
Design reviews
Testing of prototypes, ensuring that closed loop feedback can take place during the design process
