SUMMARY:
The company is a Web development house specialising in the mobile and web development environments. They design, implement and maintain web, android and IOS applications. The position is for a JavaScript developer who is motivated to combine the art of user experience design and software development to produce rich functional interfaces.
POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities will include implementing visual elements and their behaviors with user interactions. You will work with both frontend and backend web developers to build all client-side logic. You will also be bridging the gap between the visual elements and the server-side infrastructure, taking an active role on both sides, and defining how the application looks and functions.
Responsibilities:
· Develop new user-facing features
· Build reusable code and libraries for future use
· Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
· Optimise applications for maximum performance and scalability
· Assure that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end services
· Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Skills and Qualifications:
· Bachelors or Diploma in IT and or Multimedia
Strong understanding of JavaScript, its quirks, and workarounds
· Good understanding of Reactjs, React-native and willingness to learn more frameworks and libraries
· Good understanding of asynchronous request handling and RESTful service consumption
· Familiarity with front-end build tools, Gradle and Webpack
· Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
· Proficiency in most of the following is beneficial:
o Android Studio and Java
o xCode and Objective-c or Swift
o *nix command line
o Queueing patterns
o Client-server architecture
o Android OS and its style guidelines
o iOS and its style guidelines
