SUMMARY:
Seeking a Java Developer for a globally known Information Technology/ Data Analytics organization. Located in Johannesburg and Cape-town with a hybrid working environment, they are looking for an experienced Software Developer, experienced in Java 8.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Qualifications:

Matric.
Degree in Computer Science or related IT Degree.

Requirements:

3+ Years of hands-on experience in software development
Knowledge of the full SDLC life cycle
Experienced in Jira and Confluence or any other related ticketing system
Database design experience
Understanding of analyses and complex issues and problems and coming up with sound and rational decisions.
Experienced in working with front-end technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, Typescript, CSS, Node.js, and Vue.js
Oracle, PostgreSQL, and other database experience (experience in non-relational databases is an advantage)
Experienced in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, and Bitbucket Pipelines
Proficient experience in source control tools
Experienced in containerization (Docker)
Exposure to Linux (SSH and monitoring logs, etc)
Experienced in tools like, as ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana, and cloud technologies

Job & Company Description:

Delivery of solutions, by code, that addresses the stated requirement and follows structural and performance standards
Support of deployed applications, as they manifest in the Production environment
Task management within the guideline of distinct objectives and according to the management reporting line
Adhere to the maintenance of the SDLC policies and process
Identification and generation of recommendations where personal development is indicated or needed
Generation of recommendations where rationalization or enhancement will provide benefit to the local unit
